Atlanta United returns to action Sunday as the club hosts Orlando City SC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Atlanta has played only 2 matches in the current MLS season so far. In the opening game, under Gonzalo Pineda's management, they lost to the reigning league champions Columbus Crew (0-1). However, Atlanta bounced back by defeating New England 4-1 at home. Atlanta places special hopes on their forward Georgios Yakumakis, who scored his first career hat-trick in the previous match.

Orlando had a very poor start to the current season. In their first three games, the Lions managed to earn only 1 point against Montreal (0-0) in the 1st round. After that, Orlando suffered a crushing defeat to Inter Miami (0-5) and also lost 2-3 to Minnesota United. Additionally, Orlando City was eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions League this week, losing to Mexican side Tigres 2-4 on aggregate in the Round of 16.
