Two in-form sides face off at Stadio Olimpico, as Lazio and Bologna look to continue their winning runs in Serie A.

Lazio and Bologna, both in stellar form, are set to clash at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, with Lazio looking to maintain momentum near the top of the Serie A standings.  

A first-half goal from captain Mattia Zaccagni secured a 1-0 win over Monza in Lazio's last outing, bringing them within a point of the league summit. With 10 wins from their last 11 matches across Serie A and the Europa League, Marco Baroni's side are mounting an unexpected title push. The Biancocelesti could match their seven-game league winning streak from 2017 if victorious on Sunday.  

While Lazio boast a strong record against Bologna at home, their visitors hold recent bragging rights after doing the double over them last season. Bologna, unbeaten in nine Serie A games, earned a thrilling 3-2 win over Roma before the international break, continuing their excellent away form.  

Under Vincenzo Italiano, Bologna are enjoying one of their best starts to a league campaign in decades, but with a crucial Champions League tie against Lille looming, they face a stiff test against a Lazio side thriving at home.
