After both Brentford and Bournemouth endured 2-1 losses in Premier League Gameweek 10, they are now set to face each other at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Taking advantage of City’s injury struggles, Andoni Iraola’s side raced to a 2-0 lead through Antoine Semenyo’s cool finish and Evanilson’s toe-poke, only for Josko Gvardiol’s header to give City a glimmer of hope. Despite City’s pressure, Bournemouth held firm and secured a vital win, stretching their unbeaten Premier League run to three matches.

Bournemouth’s surprising autumn form has lifted them to 10th place, two points and two spots ahead of Brentford, though their poor away record— just one win from seven games— may dampen spirits ahead of their trip to the Gtech Community Stadium. To make matters worse, Bournemouth’s head-to-head record against Brentford doesn’t offer much hope for the Cherries, who haven’t beaten the Bees in a league match since the 2014-15 Championship season, and their last away win over Brentford was in 2005.
