Alaves’ solid return to the top flight continues as Luis Garcia’s men sit 12th in La Liga, unbeaten in their last four league matches and winning their last three. Most recently, Alaves ran riot against bottom side Almeria in a 3-0 victory, making it back-to-back clean sheets for the first time this season in La Liga play.

As for Barcelona, it’s been a miserable campaign for them so far, with the defending champions sitting third in the table, seven points behind arch-rivals Real Madrid and eight adrift of surprise leaders Girona. Barca have only lost three games, but have drawn more (5) than any other side in the top four and that’s largely down to having the worst defensive record of those sides with 29 goals conceded; the most in the La Liga top 11.

This is a really hard match to call, especially considering Alaves' strong form, and we would not be shocked to see a home win or a draw here. Barcelona need to keep picking up wins in order to stay in the title picture, though, and we are backing them to navigate their way to a vital three points.
