Tottenham Hotspur will aim to secure their fifth consecutive victory across all competitions as they head to the Groupama Arena in Budapest to take on Ferencvaros in the Europa League.
Since enduring consecutive Premier League defeats against Newcastle United (2-1) and Arsenal (1-0), Tottenham have bounced back impressively, winning their last four matches across all competitions with a combined score of 11-2.
Currently, Tottenham are considered the favourites to win the Europa League this season. However, they enter Thursday's clash with Ferencvaros having won only one of their last nine European away matches (D2 L6), a 2-1 victory over Marseille in the Champions League in November 2022.
While Spurs have never faced Ferencvaros before, Postecoglou has met the Hungarian side twice during his time at Celtic, securing a 2-0 home win and a 3-2 away triumph in the 2021-22 Europa League group stage.
Ferencvaros, on the other hand, have started this season strongly after clinching their sixth consecutive Nemzeti Bajnoksag I title last season. They've recorded 10 wins, two draws, and two losses in their 14 competitive matches so far.
Although they missed out on Champions League qualification earlier this season, losing 3-1 on aggregate to FC Midtjylland in the third qualifying round, Ferencvaros booked their place in the newly-expanded Europa League with a 3-2 penalty-shootout win over Bosnian side FK Borac Banja Luka, following a 1-1 draw over two legs.
