Barcelona aims to preserve their perfect league record as they host a winless Getafe.
Hansi Flick has made a strong debut as a La Liga manager, leading his Barcelona side to six consecutive league victories. After three straight 2-1 wins, the Blaugrana showcased their offensive power with dominant performances, thrashing Real Valladolid 7-1, Girona 4-1, and most recently, Villarreal 5-1 away from home.
Now returning to Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys after three away games, Barcelona has been nearly perfect at home, dropping only two points in their last ten league matches. They have also been dominant against Getafe in their recent home encounters, winning the last six clashes while scoring 16 goals and conceding just four.
On the other hand, Getafe is still searching for their first win of the season, having recorded four draws and two defeats in their six matches. After finishing 12th last season, they started the current campaign with three draws but have since suffered away losses to Sevilla and Real Betis. They managed to avoid a third consecutive defeat in the recent South of Madrid derby, with Borja Mayoral scoring a late penalty.
While Getafe has conceded fewer goals than many teams this season, they are struggling offensively, having scored only three goals in six matches. This has contributed to an 11-game winless league streak, dating back to a 3-1 victory over Almeria in April. Although a win against the league leaders may seem unlikely, Getafe hopes to secure their first away point against Barcelona since February 2018.
