Valencia is looking to secure consecutive wins in La Liga for the first time since April as they face Osasuna.

Valencia struggled in their opening five La Liga matches, managing only one point and suffering losses to Barcelona, Celta Vigo, Athletic Bilbao, and Atletico Madrid. However, they turned things around with a significant 2-0 victory over Girona, thanks to goals from Luis Rioja and Dani Gomez, which lifted them from the bottom of the table to 18th place, just one point shy of 17th-placed Real Valladolid.

In their last encounter in April, Valencia defeated Osasuna 1-0, but the previous fixture at Mestalla saw the visitors win 2-1. Valencia hasn't finished in the top four since 2019, and while challenging for a Champions League spot seems daunting, a top-seven finish is within reach. Last season, they finished ninth, eight points behind seventh-placed Real Betis, having lost 15 times in the league.

Osasuna, on the other hand, have had a solid start with three wins, one draw, and two losses in their first six matches, earning 10 points and sitting in seventh place. They began the season with four points from their first two games but faced a heavy defeat at Girona before bouncing back to beat Celta Vigo. Despite a setback against Rayo Vallecano, they secured a 2-1 win over Las Palmas last Saturday, with Ante Budimir scoring from the penalty spot and Aimar Oroz netting the decisive goal.

Interestingly, Osasuna has won two of their last three visits to Mestalla and earned points in 10 of their 19 away league games last season.
