Arda Güler has become the third young player after Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney to score a goal and provide an assist in the same edition of the European Championship.

In the round of 16 of the European Championship, Turkey defeated Austria 2-1 to advance to the quarter-finals. In this match, Real Madrid's 19-year-old youngster Arda Güler provided an assist for Demiral.

Despite his tender age, Arda Güler is already a member of Real Madrid and holds a pivotal role in the Turkish national team. In their opening group stage match, Turkey secured a 3-1 victory over Georgia. With the score tied at 1-1, Arda Güler scored a spectacular long-range goal, helping Turkey regain the lead and significantly contributing to the team's victory. This goal also marked his first goal in his European Championship career.

In the round of 16 clash against Austria, in the 59th minute, Arda Güler took a corner kick and delivered it into the penalty area where Demiral headed in to score his second goal of the match, extending Turkey's lead to 2-0. This assist marked Arda Güler first in his European Championship career.

It's worth noting that Arda Güler thus became the third teenager in history to achieve both a goal and an assist in the same European Championship. The previous two were Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in the 2004 edition of the tournament.
